If earning your MBA from one of the world’s top business schools is on your radar, mark your calendar now. The Wharton School has released its full application timeline for the 2026–27 admissions cycle, and planning ahead could make all the difference.
Three Rounds, One Goal
We accept applications across three rounds, with a separate deadline for deferred admission. All applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. ET on the deadline date to be considered for that round.
| Round | Application Deadline | Interview Invitations | Decisions | Deposit Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Round 1 | September 8, 2026 | October 28, 2026 | December 17, 2026 | February 5, 2027 |
| Round 2 | January 5, 2027 | February 19, 2027 | March 31, 2027 | April 29, 2027 |
| Round 3 | March 31, 2027 | April 16, 2027 | May 11, 2027 | June 2, 2027 |
| Deferred Admissions | April 21, 2027 | May 26, 2027 | July 1, 2027 | July 30, 2027 |
When Should You Apply?
We strongly recommend applying in Round 1 or Round 2 — and this goes for first-time applicants, reapplicants, and international students alike. Class space becomes increasingly limited in Round 3, making it the most competitive round of the cycle. International students who will need a U.S. student visa should pay particular attention to this advice and aim for an earlier round.
If you’re pursuing the MBA/MA Lauder Joint Degree in International Studies or the Carey JD/MBA Program, note that these programs only accept applications in Rounds 1 and 2.
The Application Goes Live in July 2026
For those eager to be considered for the MBA Class of 2029, here’s an important heads-up: the application will go live in July 2026. Whether you’re ready to apply in Round 1 or still weighing your options, the key is to start early. Give yourself time to craft a compelling application.
