Earlier today, invitations to interview were released to Round 2 applicants via email. If invited, you will participate in a Team Based Discussion (TBD) and a one-on-one interview. This is one of our favorite parts of the admissions process and our team cannot wait to get to know many of you personally!
The Wharton TBD is a unique element of our admissions process that helps provide a clearer picture of who you are and how you may fit into the Class of 2025. The TBD models the highly collaborative nature of the Wharton MBA environment to identify characteristics that we believe contribute to the success of our students. More information about the interview process can be found here.
We hope you embrace this opportunity to express who you are beyond your application, but also, who you are as a member of a functioning team. Teamwork is central to Wharton culture and we hope that through the TBD, you are able to experience the learning dynamic of our program. We want to learn how you approach challenges and embrace different opportunities.
We asked our Admissions Fellows (current second-year students), who facilitate many of the interviews, for their best tips on how to prepare for your TBD once you receive your invitation. They were in your shoes not so long ago and can provide helpful firsthand advice as you get ready for your interview.
As always, if you have any questions, please call us at 215-838-6183 or email us at mba-admiss@wharton.upenn.edu. We wish you the best as you enter the interview phase of the application process and look forward to meeting you soon!
Best of luck!
