We’re excited to share that Round 2 interview invitations for the Wharton MBA Class of 2028 have been sent! If you’ve received an invitation, congratulations on advancing to this milestone in the admissions journey.
Wharton’s interview experience is designed to reflect the heart of our community: teamwork, forward-thinking ideas, and leadership rooted in collaboration.
As part of the Team-Based Discussion (TBD), you’ll join a group of six candidates to work collectively on a shared prompt. There is no designated leader, much like the team-driven environments that define the Wharton experience. Through the TBD, we’re eager to see how you listen, build on others’ ideas, articulate your perspective, and contribute to a shared outcome.
Following the TBD, you’ll participate in a 10-minute one-on-one conversation with the facilitator of your interview. This individual interview provides an opportunity to reflect on the group exercise and dive deeper into your background, goals, and interest in pursuing your MBA at Wharton.
The structure of the TBD closely resembles Wharton’s Learning Teams, where students partner to navigate complex, real-world business challenges. This process helps us better understand the qualities that set our students apart: collaboration, flexibility, empathy, and thoughtful problem-solving. We look forward to seeing how you engage with your fellow candidates, approach the discussion, and contribute your distinct voice to the conversation.
If you have questions about the interview process, please don’t hesitate to contact us at mba-admiss@wharton.upenn.edu or 215-838-6183.
We’re excited to meet you and wish you all the best as you prepare for your interview!
